RECOVERY STARTS HERE
Pathways Recovery Home

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a safe, stable, substance-free, and supportive living environment for individuals committed to building a life in recovery. We believe lasting recovery is strengthened through personal responsibility, accountability, healthy relationships, and connection to a supportive community.
Â
Our home is designed to provide residents with the structure and encouragement needed to develop independent living skills, establish healthy routines, rebuild confidence, and pursue meaningful personal, vocational, and recovery goals. Through peer support, mutual respect, and shared responsibility, we strive to create a community where every resident is treated with dignity and encouraged to take an active role in their own recovery.
Â
Our goal is not simply to provide a place to live, but to provide an environment in which individuals can establish a strong foundation for long-term recovery, greater independence, and a healthy, productive life.

Program Purpose and Objectives
Program Purpose
Â
The purpose of our recovery home is to provide a safe, stable, substance-free, and supportive residential environment for adults who are committed to establishing and maintaining a life in recovery.
The home serves as a bridge between the need for structure and the development of greater independence. Through peer support, shared responsibility, accountability, healthy routines, and connection to community resources, residents are provided with an environment in which they can strengthen their recovery while developing the skills and stability necessary to successfully manage their own lives.
The recovery home is not intended to replace clinical treatment, medical care, mental health services, or other professional services that a resident may need. Rather, the home provides a recovery-supportive living environment and encourages residents to establish and maintain appropriate connections with outside recovery, healthcare, employment, educational, spiritual, and community resources according to their individual needs and goals.
Our purpose is not simply to provide temporary housing. It is to create a community in which residents have the opportunity to practice recovery principles in everyday life, assume responsibility for themselves, develop healthy relationships, establish greater stability, and prepare for successful independent living.
Â
Program Objectives
Â
To fulfill this purpose, the recovery home seeks to:
Â
1. Maintain a Safe and Substance-Free Environment
Â
Maintain a living environment that supports recovery by establishing clear expectations regarding alcohol, illicit substances, inappropriate behavior, safety, and conduct within the home.
Â
2. Support Individual Recovery
Â
Encourage each resident to develop, maintain, and actively participate in a recovery pathway appropriate to their individual needs, beliefs, circumstances, and goals.
Â
3. Encourage Personal Responsibility
Â
Provide residents with opportunities to take increasing responsibility for their choices, behavior, finances, schedules, commitments, living space, and overall direction of their lives.
Â
4. Promote Accountability
Â
Establish clear and consistent expectations that encourage residents to honor commitments, accept responsibility for their actions, communicate honestly, and understand how individual choices affect the entire household.
Â
5. Strengthen Peer Support
Â
Create opportunities for residents to develop healthy relationships with others in recovery and to experience the value of mutual encouragement, shared experience, appropriate accountability, and positive peer connection.
Â
6. Develop Independent Living Skills
Â
Encourage residents to strengthen practical skills necessary for independent living, including maintaining a clean living environment, managing personal responsibilities, budgeting, meal planning, transportation, scheduling, problem-solving, and other activities of daily life.
Â
7. Encourage Employment, Education, and Productive Activity
Â
Support residents in pursuing employment, education, vocational development, volunteer service, or other meaningful and productive activities consistent with their abilities and individual circumstances.
Â
8. Promote Financial Responsibility
Â
Encourage residents to develop responsible financial habits, meet their financial obligations, establish appropriate budgets, address outstanding responsibilities when possible, and begin preparing financially for greater independence.
Â
9. Encourage Healthy Relationships and Boundaries
Â
Provide an environment where residents can practice respectful communication, conflict resolution, appropriate boundaries, cooperation, and consideration for others.
Â
10. Strengthen Community Connection
Â
Encourage residents to establish healthy connections outside the home through recovery communities, employment, education, volunteer activities, faith or spiritual communities when personally desired, recreation, family relationships when appropriate, and other positive community resources.
Â
11. Support Personal Growth and Purpose
Â
Encourage residents to identify personal strengths, establish meaningful goals, develop healthy interests, rebuild confidence, and begin creating a life that provides purpose and supports continued recovery.
Â
12. Prepare Residents for Successful Transition
Â
Encourage residents to plan for the future throughout their residency rather than waiting until departure. Transition planning may include identifying stable housing, developing financial resources, strengthening recovery and community supports, maintaining employment or education, and establishing routines that can continue after leaving the home.
Â
13. Respect Individual Dignity and Choice
Â
Maintain an environment in which residents are treated fairly and respectfully and are encouraged to participate actively in decisions affecting their recovery and future. Differences in background, beliefs, and individual recovery pathways should be respected so long as they remain compatible with the safety, substance-free standards, and responsibilities of the recovery community.
Â
Desired Outcome
Â
The desired outcome of the program is for residents to leave the recovery home with more than a period of abstinence. We seek to have residents leave with a stronger recovery foundation, greater personal responsibility, improved independent living skills, healthier relationships and support systems, increased financial and vocational stability, and a realistic plan for maintaining recovery and independence within the community.
Â
Success is ultimately reflected not simply in completing a period of residency, but in developing the ability to build and sustain a healthy, responsible, meaningful life in recovery.

Vision Statement
Our vision is to create a recovery community where individuals are empowered to move beyond the limitations of substance use and build lives defined by purpose, stability, connection, and personal responsibility.

We envision a supportive home in which recovery becomes more than abstinence—it becomes an opportunity for personal growth, restored relationships, increased independence, and renewed hope for the future. Through accountability, peer support, healthy structure, and meaningful connection to the community, residents are encouraged to discover their strengths, develop confidence in their ability to make healthy choices, and create a life they are proud to sustain.

Ultimately, our vision is for every resident who passes through our home to leave with a stronger foundation for recovery, a greater sense of self-worth and purpose, and the skills and support necessary to live independently and contribute positively to their family and community.

Core Values
Â
Our recovery home is guided by a set of core values that reflect our belief that lasting recovery is built through personal responsibility, supportive relationships, healthy choices, and meaningful connection with others.
Â
Recovery
Â
Recovery is the foundation of our community. We support each resident’s commitment to a substance-free life while recognizing that recovery is a personal journey that may look different for each individual. We encourage residents to actively participate in the recovery practices and support systems that strengthen their continued growth.
Â
Personal Responsibility
Â
We believe individuals become stronger when they take ownership of their choices, actions, responsibilities, and future. Residents are encouraged to become active participants in their recovery rather than passive recipients of support.
Â
Accountability
Â
Accountability creates trust and strengthens recovery. We encourage residents to honor their commitments, follow community expectations, accept the consequences of their choices, and be accountable both to themselves and to the people with whom they share the home.
Â
Respect and Dignity
Â
Every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We strive to maintain an environment free from judgment, intimidation, discrimination, and unnecessary conflict. Residents are expected to extend the same respect to their peers, staff, neighbors, and community.
Â
Peer Support
Â
Recovery is strengthened through connection. We believe residents can learn from, encourage, and support one another through shared experience. Our home promotes healthy relationships and a sense of community while respecting appropriate personal boundaries.
Â
Integrity
Â
We value honesty, trustworthiness, and consistency between words and actions. Residents are encouraged to communicate openly, acknowledge mistakes, and make choices that reflect the person they are working to become.
Â
Growth
Â
Recovery provides an opportunity not only to leave harmful behaviors behind, but also to develop a healthier and more fulfilling way of life. We encourage continued growth in emotional well-being, relationships, employment, education, life skills, financial responsibility, and personal development.
Independence. Our goal is to help residents become increasingly capable of managing their own lives. The home provides structure and support while encouraging residents to develop the skills, confidence, and stability necessary for successful independent living.
Â
Community
Â
We believe healthy recovery includes becoming connected to something larger than oneself. Residents are encouraged to develop positive relationships, participate in their recovery community, be responsible neighbors, and find meaningful ways to contribute to the communities in which they live.
Â
Hope and Purpose
Â
We believe recovery offers the opportunity to build a meaningful future. Regardless of a person’s past, we encourage each resident to identify their strengths, establish meaningful goals, discover a sense of purpose, and move forward with hope.
